There are several GB's going on right now, Battle of Brittain, 1/12 scale etc. with the GB's, it's up to you guys to start them and come up with ideas. This can be done at any time.

The current 1/48 scale Vietnam era plane eXercise have basically no interest or activity anymore and I'm as guilty as anyone else for this. The Exercises are more difficult to get members to attend (unless it's an automotive related subject) :064: The initial idea was to get members to leave their comfort zones and try something else, but it doens't seem to work. I do believe Peter was supposed to come up with some Sci-Fi subjects for an eXercise, but Wil you know how it is with Aussie commitment.

how about anything tv/movie related that does not include star wars/star trek(cos that would be too easy )...........or a ship/boat one...........open wheel race car......post 1945 armour......civilian aircraft, any scale............design a Reno racer (could make it your own personal racer...design your own livery)).......anything French Air Force(cos that goes from ww1 thro Vichey and Free French in WW2 up to modern)

There was a discussion about stalled builds, what happened to that idea. It looked like it had a lot of interest. There was also talk about a "Pick from My Stalled Build" in that we'd list a few of our stalled builds and we'd all pick for the build on what they'd finish.

I like the movie/TV idea.

This is far from a single incident. Unfortunately I've seen too many great ideas with lots of interest have little follow through when they actually start. The Battle of Brittain is an example. There is very little activity in that thread so far, which is a shame especially since it's commemorating such an important historic event.

I resemble that comment :armata_PDT_08: :armata_PDT_12: :tease:.

My problem is I've been spending most of my time either riding the new bike, or working on the old one. I have not touched a model in over a month, it's been so cold and wet here that I can't do any painting.

What's with you guys down under, don't you have any heating, lol. Peter says the same thing.

Wow, you Aussies aren't ever happy! :tease: You finally have water falling from the sky and now it's too wet?? Not sure which part of the island you're in, but my little weather app shows a pleasant 57 degrees F in Melbourne. At night. Guess you folks call that "winter", eh?

It's winter for me :armata_PDT_12:, anything under 30c I freeze. As for the rain, yes I'm not happy, I want it to fall in the catchments, not on my house :armata_PDT_02:. Melbourne is getting a lot more water this year than we've had in a decade, but it's all going out into the bay. The catchments for Melbourne are between 100 to 250kms to the east, & most of the rain is not getting that far. Most of eastern australia is still officially in drought.

So I've been playing with these

If I'm not mistaken - and please correct me on this - eXercises are project with the same theme which all members can participate??

It's a great idea - I find it very intriguing!!!
And to build an airplane for me is just like "don't touch"!!!
I like this idea for the TV show vehicle. (Already have a KITT kit... :armata_PDT_12: a General Lee and the AE86 from Initial D Project D).

We have plenty of subjects to choose from .... problem seem to be attendance once they're selected :)
