The Ka-50 is a Russian single-seat military helicopter, designed as a gunship. It features the usual load of weapons with wing stores able to carry 2,300 kg. It has contra-rotating co-axial rotors which remove the need for a tail-rotor and apparently make the craft fully aerobatic.

Revell has made an excellent effort in bringing this helicopter to the modeling public. It is molded in black and contains a sprue of clear parts. The decals allow to build the helicopter either as the Black Shark or Werewolf. The instructions are rather complicated and required the builder to mix custom paints, because of this reason and the extensive set of decals, I would only recommend this model to the experienced modeler.
